About the Client
Operating in over 31 countries, our client is a fleet management, novated leasing and rental company offering a not one size fits all approach to fleet management. They provide maintenance and repair services, relief vehicles, insurance, roadside assistance and discounted fuel contracts. They are currently seeking an Fleet Maintenance Controller for their Rocklea yard.
What you will be doing
As a Maintenance Controller, you're responsible for ensuring all assets are appropriately serviced, maintained, inspected, and prepared for hire. The role supports the Branch in ensuring optimal performance (operationally, mechanically, and legally) and image/ availability of all assets. You will be required to work Monday - Friday. The main purpose of the position is being responsible for;
Your Core Responsibilities
Organise and oversee the service and repair of all vehicles ensuring they meet the safety and operational standards in a cost-effective manner.
Schedule all assets for service and repair including the issuing of purchase orders and auditing of invoices for payment.
Establish and audit local supplier network to support the Branch operations.
Liaise with customers and Rental and Mobility team regarding the scheduling of service, maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Manage the Branch assets due and overdue for service reporting.
Organise annual Heavy Vehicle and Registration inspections for Branch assets.
Co-ordinate or facilitate after hours breakdown service and repairs.
Ensure all assets are presented to the highest level of reliability and safety and readiness for hire in a timely manner.
Maintain knowledge of all asset classes and equipment specification and trends across the ORIX Rental and Mobility fleet.

What you will need
Thorough knowledge of current Heavy vehicle service and safety standards.
Ability to monitor and report of vehicle defects and servicing requirements.
Ability to manage inventory and supplier invoices.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously or with mínimal supervision.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to conduct manual lifting in a safe manner.

Ability to work collaboratively within the team.
Ability to identify and mitigate mechanical and operational risk.
Required Qualifications
Heavy vehicle mechanic qualifications including a current licence to practice
Forklift ticket or willingness to obtain.
HC driver licence (minimum or HR and willingness to obtain HC)
