About the Role
Are you a psychologist looking for a change? Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people?
This exciting opportunity is for a Psychologist to join our team, working with children and young people with developmental, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural and physical difficulties.
You will work with preschool and school staff, as well as parents, to develop evidence-based psychology interventions that can be adapted for learning and home contexts.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to be based in the city or relocate to the country area, with relocation assistance available.
The successful applicant will be required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check prior to being employed, which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop evidence-based psychology interventions for children and young people with developmental, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural and physical difficulties.
* Work with preschool and school staff, as well as parents, to implement these interventions.
* Conduct assessments and provide reports on the effectiveness of these interventions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor.
* Area of practice endorsement – educational and developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology and/or counselling psychology.
