Trade & Sales Support Analyst (6-month contract) – Based in Sydney, supporting APAC Sales & Trading in Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo, with close collaboration with the London Trade & Sales Support Team.
This role provides Trading and Sales Support services to APAC Businesses in line with operational procedures and bank standing orders, focusing on all supporting tasks related to Sales and Trading activities.
Responsibilities
* Act as an intermediary between clients and Front‐Office personnel, and further liaison with BCS, Finance, Compliance, and Technology functions.
* Provide operational support to Sales and Trading across multiple asset classes.
* Perform trade validation and enrichment: validate trades captured by Front‐Office systems for data quality and completeness, perform necessary trade enrichment and authorizations, and validate trades against confirmations or client details to ensure proper booking.
* Manage trade lifecycle, including coupon fixing, redemption, exercises, assignments, expiries, unwinds, corporate actions, etc.
* Troubleshoot trade booking and trade‐flow issues.
* Monitor and follow up on settlement issues across all fronts and elevate to Front‐Office as needed.
* Perform reconciliations as required.
* Facilitate new broker/client account opening for Sales and Trading.
* Ensure all daily tasks and controls are completed in line with the department's procedures manual.
Requirements
Must‐Have
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Securities, Derivatives, and/or Structured Notes Middle Office.
* Degree‐level education.
* Knowledge of trade support, settlements, and reconciliation within Operations.
* Solid knowledge of Capital Markets products and ISDA definitions.
* Ability to manage Front‐Office demands.
* Ability to work well under pressure and high volumes.
* Strong attention to detail.
Nice‐To‐Have
* Knowledge of Murex or Sophis is an advantage.
* Evidence of relevant training or examinations in industry‐led courses on securities, derivatives, or structured notes.
