Overview

About Oceania University of Medicine (OUM)

OUM was founded in the South Pacific island nation of Samoa in 2002. The University's mission was initially to provide vital medical education to help build a workforce capable of meeting the healthcare needs of underserved island communities. Over time, that mission has evolved to include educating students from other regions who also wish to serve those most in need.

OUM is an accredited international medical school that blends online learning with traditional clinical training. With students based across Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, the United States, and other regions, our flexible model of study is ideally suited to those balancing personal and professional commitments while pursuing a career in medicine.
