The University of Sydney's Automation & Innovation Hub (AI Hub) is seeking a dynamic and detail-driven Business Analyst to play a key role in shaping digital transformation initiatives across the University. You will work with software engineers, AI developers, and a wide range of stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions that enhance the University experience for students, researchers, and staff.

Responsibilities
- collaborate with stakeholders to define, analyse, and prioritise business requirements
- run engaging workshops to uncover needs, co-design solutions, and identify risks
- support agile delivery by managing product backlogs, writing user stories, and mapping business processes
- translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders
- engage with stakeholders to identify use cases for potential automation and AI-driven solutions
- translate business requirements into technical requirements
- use tools like Power BI to design intuitive dashboards and reports for internal and external use
- collaborate on projects leveraging Generative AI, NLP, ML, Robotic Process Automation, and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and AWS
- contribute to project roadmaps and change management activities to ensure smooth rollouts
- become a trusted advisor and subject matter expert within the team and across the University
About you
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience as a front-line Business Analyst engaging with external clients and internal resources
- Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in business analysis, preferably in agile environments
- Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence with data analysis
