Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Behavior Technician for The Scott Center for Autism Treatment. This is a full-time position.Primarily responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor (BCBA). Provides support and training to graduate and undergraduate interns and practicum students. Some travel may be required.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Work directly with clients and trainees (graduate practicum students; undergraduate interns) as assigned for 30 hours per week. 10 hours per week for indirect work related to client programming, including graphing, writing treatment notes and reportsWork across additional settings (home, schools, community) may be required for client progressParent trainingBilling and Electronic Health Records (EHR) reconciliationsAssist with individualized assessment procedures ( VB-MAPP), assist with social skills groups, or other program areas as assignedAdditional duties as assignedEducation/Skills required:High school diplomaRegistered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)Be at least 18 years of ageSuccessfully complete a criminal background registry check at the time of application (within 45 days of submitting application)Complete a 40-hr training program (to meet basic competency to work with a client) provided by the agencyPass the RBT exam delivered through the BACBExperience with young children and children with developmental disabilities including ASD preferred* Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment.
