About the role
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to join their growing team in Lilydale, VIC. This full-time role will see you providing critical IT support and desktop management services to our dynamic client base. As a key member of our IT support team, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our customers' technology runs smoothly and efficiently.
What you'll be doing
* Providing first-line technical support for desktop hardware, software and network connectivity issues
* Troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of user-reported problems in a timely manner
* Performing software installations, upgrades and patches across the desktop environment
* Managing and maintaining desktop imaging and deployment processes
* Establishing and documenting standard operating procedures for desktop infrastructure
* Escalating complex issues to senior members of the IT support team as needed
* Liaising with external vendors and IT service providers to coordinate support activities
What we're looking for
* At least 3 years experience in a desktop engineering or IT support role
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
* Hands-on experience with Windows desktop operating systems, including deployment and configuration
* Sound knowledge of desktop applications, including MS Office, and common software installation and update processes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with users at all levels
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative IT support team
* Relevant technical certifications would be highly regarded
