Lead Veterinary Anaesthetist Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced veterinary anaesthetist to join our team in the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences at the University of Adelaide.
This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who can provide leadership and excellence in clinical service delivery and teaching of anaesthesia to our DVM and Veterinary Technology students.
The appointee will contribute to teaching in our programs through course coordination, lectures, tutorials, practicals and clinical rotations.
They will also provide advanced anaesthesia services to our clinicians in both the Companion Animal and Large Animal (primarily equine) Hospitals.
The successful candidate will be located at the picturesque Roseworthy campus of the University of Adelaide, surrounded by great lifestyle opportunities including the Barossa Valley, beaches, sporting activities, benchmark schools and shopping facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and excellence in clinical service delivery and teaching of anaesthesia to our DVM and Veterinary Technology students.
* Contribute to teaching in our programs through course coordination, lectures, tutorials, practicals and clinical rotations.
* Provide advanced anaesthesia services to our clinicians in both the Companion Animal and Large Animal (primarily equine) Hospitals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Specialist qualifications in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia, i.e. Australian Fellowship (FANZCVS), or Diplomat of the American or European Colleges (DACVAA or DECVAA).
* Qualification in Veterinary Science acceptable for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia.
* Proven ability to contribute independently to a clinical service in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia.
* Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of clinical and teaching teams.
