We currently have an opportunity for a Procurement and Contract Officer to join our Health & Education team and play a key role in supporting compliant, efficient procurement and contract administration that enables the delivery of essential services. Reporting to the Contract Manager, you'll help deliver high‐quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You'll Do
* Supporting RFQs, RFTs and supplier engagement processes, including preparation of scopes of work, procurement documentation and evaluation templates.
* Coordinating tender clarification processes and supporting supplier onboarding and compliance verification.
* Administering subcontract agreements, maintaining contract registers, and tracking expiries, extensions and renewals.
* Supporting purchase order processes, goods receipting and supplier account queries, ensuring accurate and timely financial processing.
* Maintaining audit‐ready procurement and contract records, and supporting internal and external audits in line with governance requirements and The Downer Standard.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in procurement, contract administration or a similar role, with a sound understanding of procurement processes.
* Strong organisational, analytical and time‐management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
* Confidence working with multiple systems and applications, including Microsoft Office, with desirable experience in SAP and Coupa.
* A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the ability to build positive working relationships with internal teams, suppliers and clients.
* A commitment to safety, compliance and quality outcomes, aligned with Downer's Zero Harm and governance expectations.
