Are you a Rehabilitation Consultant looking for a specialised role with a unique twist?
We have a great opportunity to work with a regional team managing a remote caseload from Melbourne. Whilst this role offers great flexibility, you will also have the opportunity to work from our Melbourne office and be part of the great team environment!
Although face-to-face consultation is still necessary, telehealth has become a permanent fixture of health care in Australia and it is how we at IPAR can also provide timely and efficient occupational rehabilitation services. Building meaningful relationships can be achieved in many ways; it’s all about the connection you forge with clients and customers!
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Consultant or experienced Allied Health Professional to provide remote support to a wide array of clients with physical and / or psychological injuries / illnesses, working within a counselling and case management framework to assist clients to make a successful and sustainable return to work.
Some of your duties will include :
* Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks)
* Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
* Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
* Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
* Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills, including but not limited to initial and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries.
Qualifications
* Allied Health Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology
* Full or provisional registration with AHPRA, Full Accreditation with ESSA, Full Professional Membership with ASORC or Full Professional Membership with AASW.
* Experienced Consultants with workplace rehabilitation experience will be highly regarded
* Excellent interpersonal skills are essential with the ability to communicate and build relationships with all stakeholders
* Capability to proactively manage a case load and achieve outstanding results! Have a passion for injury prevention, return to work and the health benefits of work!
* Having Comcare accreditation would be an amazing bonus!
