This newly created opportunity exists for a Legal Counsel, reporting directly to the Senior Legal Counsel. 
This role is ideal for an experienced, commercially minded legal professional who is seeking flexibility in the workplace to work and collaborate within a dynamic high-delivery driven team.

The position will be based in Perth. 
Key Responsibilities: 
Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts in the energy sector with customers and suppliers 
Support and advise stakeholders on asset portfolio management 
Support and advice for corporate functions 
Manage external counsel as required 
Contribute to developing the legal team's knowledge base 
Collaborate with other legal team members to provide a group wide service 
Requirements: 
Relevant tertiary qualifications with a solid minimum of 3 years post-admission legal experience 
Commercial and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to analyze complex information and adapt advice to context 
Experience in contracts relating to energy transition would be highly desirable (whether PPAs, construction or other commercial experience, whether grid-connected or off-grid) 
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills 
Problem solving mindset, objectivity, self-initiating, and deadline driven 
Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to delivery, and strong communication and negotiation skills 
Admitted to practice law in Australia
