We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our workshop team. This role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional who takes pride in precision machining, quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards in a fast-paced engineering environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for machining high-precision components to exact specifications, supporting complex offshore tooling projects and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Machining complex components to a high standard
* Interpreting and working from technical drawings
* Operating lathes, mills and other workshop machinery
* Using and calibrating precision measuring equipment
* Troubleshooting and repairing equipment as required
* Assisting apprentices and supporting team development
* Managing workflow during busy periods to meet deadlines
* Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
* Complying with HSEQ policies and procedures
About You
* Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter & Machinist) or equivalent
* Proven experience machining precision components
* Offshore oil & gas experience (preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and quality control
* Confident operating lathes, mills, grinders, presses and hand/power tools
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Committed to safety and continuous improvement
* Able to perform effectively under pressure
