SydneyWealth ManagementContract or TemporaryOur client is a leading global wealth management firm seeking an experienced equity markets-focused Client Service Manager with native Mandarin language skills in Sydney on an initial 12-month contract.A key function of the role is the ability to deal confidently with Private Client Advisors and their HNW/UHNW clients in a high-volume, time-critical environment. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate knowledge of the financial advice process, financial markets, products, and industry trends. You will need to have a high attention to detail, be able to prioritize work accordingly, and work well under pressure.Ideally, candidates will have previous experience in a similar Client Service, Dealers Assistant, or Advisers Assistant role, and ideally hold their RG146 qualification.This is a 12-month contract role, primarily dealing with Chinese clients. Therefore, the successful candidate must be fluent in English & Mandarin.Key responsibilities include:Facilitation of all administrative client queriesClient onboarding, including preparation of account documentation and creation of client records in their systemsArrange and assist with maintenance of client accounts and records, in line with AML/CTF and KYC regulationsIPO and corporate action allocation managementPreparation of client valuations, asset allocations, and reporting as requiredAssist in client asset transfers, including cash transfers domestically and internationallyProcess and monitor stock settlements, including follow-up with clients regarding outstanding fundsPrioritize competing adviser requests in a fast-paced environmentAssist with logistics and planning for The Asia Practice’s client eventsProvide ad hoc translation for marketing purposesEstablish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and departmentsParticipate in department cross-training as requiredParticipate in process development initiatives to increase efficienciesProactively notify clients and FAs of issues, recommending solutions and timeframesComply with the ethical standards in the Company Code of ConductAdhere to company policies, procedures, and legislative requirementsUnderstand US and UK tax forms like W8BEN and CRS (preferable)Understand Opt In, FDS, and Client Consent (FOFA) forms (preferable)Key Skills/Knowledge:High attention to detailStrong literacy and numeracy skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational skillsBasic knowledge of financial advice processes, markets, and industry trendsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFluent in written and spoken MandarinResilience and ability to prioritize tasksGoal-oriented with drive and initiativeQualifications:Desirable tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or EconomicsRG146 qualification (or willingness to study towards it)Experience in wealth management, stockbroking, or financial planningUnderstanding of broking platforms (domestic and international)Knowledge of portfolio management platforms (e.g., Praemium) is an advantageClient Service Manager experience is not mandatory but highly regardedThis role is initially a 12-month contract with a competitive rate depending on experience.
