Position Summary
The Subway Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and team performance. The role involves managing staff, meeting sales targets, controlling costs, and maintaining compliance with Subway's operational standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
* Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain Subway quality standards.
* Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are upheld at all times.
* Manage inventory, stock ordering, and waste control.
Staff Management
* Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver excellent service.
* Schedule shifts and manage labor costs effectively.
* Conduct regular team meetings to update staff on goals, policies, and promotions.
* Lead by example in maintaining professional behavior and strong work ethic.
Customer Service
* Ensure customers receive fast, friendly, and consistent service.
* Handle customer feedback, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.
* Maintain a welcoming and positive atmosphere in the restaurant.
Financial Management
* Monitor daily sales and work toward achieving weekly and monthly targets.
* Manage cash handling and ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Control costs by reducing waste, optimizing labor, and monitoring expenses.
Compliance & Standards
* Ensure compliance with Subway's policies, procedures, and brand standards.
* Follow food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations.
* Maintain all necessary documentation for audits and inspections.
Qualifications & Skills
* Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the food or retail industry.
* Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
