About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about supporting the community, promoting tourism and shaping the future of a thriving regional community? If this sounds like you, an exciting and rare opportunity exists to join our team in the position of Economic Development Coordinator.
Located in once of Victoria's most vibrant regional areas, this position is responsible for leading our Economic Development team and being a key driver in the Planning and Development Unit, focusing on the delivery of Economic Development Services within Council.
In this key role you will be responsible for:
* To coordinate and manage Council's Economic Development Unit
* Manage the delivery of a wide variety of Council led events and support community events across the Shire.
* Oversee the delivery of quality service's fostering tourism growth and development in including Council's Visitor Information Centres.
* Manage Council's strategic communications leading on key advocacy issues.
* Manage Council's grant programs and associated events.
