**Role/Responsibilities**:
The role offers the opportunity to take ownership for the Compliance requirements in Australia with the support of a very well-established compliance framework and organization.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Coordinate compliance efforts in Australia within the global framework supported by Compliance colleagues in central compliance functions
- Ensure Moody's in Australia is meeting the local regulatory requirements and licence conditions including managing any regulatory change.
- Be the primary liaison with ASIC and respond to any queries in a timely manner, with support from the global compliance team.
- Report to the Australia Board and senior management on a quarterly and ad hoc basis.
- Support successful implementation of policies and procedures, promote consistency across Australia, and facilitate escalation and appropriate resolution of compliance issues.
- Advise employees on Codes of conduct, Australia Compliance Manual, securities trading, gifts, outside business interests, confidentially, separation, recordkeeping and regulatory disclosures with the assistance and support from the central compliance functions
- Represent compliance at Rating Group meetings. Provide succinct updates, communicate on new and revised policies and procedures, and present on compliance topics of interest to the line of business.
- Conduct investigations and support the compliance surveillance team where necessary
- Lead Australia projects and actively contribute to global project teams on large-scale initiatives.
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:
- 8 - 10 years' experience in compliance-related field.
- Bachelor degree or higher in business, law degree or other finance related discipline.
- Experience working in an ASIC regulated financial institution.
- Affinity for project work and problem-solving, with proven track record in identifying and analyzing relevant considerations, developing sound recommendations, and presenting findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening skills and skills at creating and delivering training and topical presentations to teams, groups, and members of senior management.
- Ability to take initiative and work with mínimal supervision on independent assignments, but also to work effectively within teams.
- Competing demands on time require a high degree of flexibility and excellent time-management skills.
- Comfortable working in an environment of regulatory change
