JOB DESCRIPTION
Join Sunshine Coast Health's Endoscopy Procedure Suites as an Assistant in Nursing (Endoscopy Reprocessing, Band 2). You'll support a specialised, fast-paced service delivering gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and advanced interventions across SCUH and Nambour. Working under RN/CN supervision, you'll rotate between reprocessing and patient admission/holding/discharge areas to keep patients safe and the unit running smoothly. This role suits an AIN with recent endoscopy exposure, strong attention to detail and a commitment to infection control, documentation accuracy and patient-centred care.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key responsibilities Include:
Reprocess endoscopes/instruments to infection-control standards and maintain accurate records.
Support patient flow: admission checks, observations within scope, safe discharge readiness.
Uphold NSQHS and SCH Safe Care Framework; escalate concerns and contribute to quality improvement.
Work safely: manual handling, PPE and "bare below the elbows"; collaborate effectively within the team.
Salary between $71 234 - $73 319 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $35.92 - $36.97 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) (Nurse Grade 1 Band 2) (several full time and part time positions available, 48 hrs p.f.).
