Community Health Coordinator
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Health Coordinator to join our team in Port Hedland. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing alcohol and other drug-related harms in the community.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, non-government organisations, and community groups. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement evidence-based health promotion strategies.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Developing and implementing evidence-based health promotion strategies to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce AOD-related harms at a local and regional level
* Liaising with government agencies and community groups to progress community action on health promotion initiatives
* Maintaining accurate and timely records of health promotion activities
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the impacts of drugs and alcohol on individuals, families, and communities, as well as experience in developing and delivering training programs. They will also have excellent administrative and computer skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a part-time position working 38 hours per fortnight, with salary packaging benefits and access to a confidential counselling service available.
