* Aims to develop sustainable food systems that promote public health and environmental well-being globally.
* Assesses dietary patterns and environmental footprints through research collaborations at The George Institute for Global Health and Deakin University.
Candidates will leverage this information to create models estimating the impact of food system changes on health, environmental, and economic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
* Develop predictive models to assess the effectiveness of preventive policies and interventions.
* Employ robust epidemiological and econometric modeling methods.
* Collaborate with academic partners worldwide to advance knowledge in food systems sustainability.
Work currently underway in Australia will be expanded globally, focusing on packaged food supply chains, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
