Our Client is an independent and democratically elected body to represent Traditional Owners of Country and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Victoria. They act as the Aboriginal Representative Body to support Treaty negotiations along with other roles whereby they advocate for Indigenous communities.
We are now seeking on their behalf, a HR Manager to champion the management and continuous improvement of the organisations people and culture systems.
**About The Role**:
- Develop and implement up to date policies and procedures in line with organisational values and remain informed of any changes to the employee relations landscape.
- Develop an Organisational design, structure and hierarchy that underpins the strategic objectives and plan of the organisation.
- Introduce an effective performance management system that aids in the attraction and retention of skilled, culturally aligned employees.
- Work closely with the organisation's commercial team & department heads to ensure people & culture cost drivers are controlled and KPIs are met as stated in the budget.
**Skills and Attributes Required**:
- Previous experience in a similar role, implementing new HR processes in a complex organisation.
- Broad knowledge of contemporary HR practices.
- Knowledge of current industrial relations legislation and how it impacts the organisation.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework & National Training packages.
- Thorough understanding of generalist HR & Safety, Health & Wellbeing legislation.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, sound financial management and budgeting skills.
- High level computer skills with the ability to pick up new programs quickly.
- Tertiary qualifications that support the ability to implement people & culture initiatives.
- Training & Assessment Qualifications (well regarded).
