About the Role The Student Support Officer will play a vital role in enhancing student wellbeing and engagement, fostering strong relationships with families, and promoting a positive school environment.
Key responsibilities include: Build and sustain positive relationships with students, families, and the community to support engagement and wellbeing.
Develop and implement innovative strategies for data management and intervention planning.
Conduct home visits and liaise with families to encourage school attendance and address barriers to participation.
Monitor student behaviour and wellbeing, identifying concerns and organising appropriate interventions.
Lead initiatives to create a caring and supportive school environment for students, families, and community members.
This role would suit someone passionate about student wellbeing, family engagement, and fostering a positive school culture.
About You The following traits would be beneficial: Strong communication skills, including the ability to mediate concerns and navigate sensitive conversations.
Experience in building respectful relationships with young people and families.
Understanding of wellbeing, engagement, and adolescent social/emotional development.
Ability to identify concerns early and respond with professional judgement.
Experience in managing confidential information and using data to inform decisions.
