Role Overview
This role is responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating training programs to enhance workforce capability, support career development and promote culturally safe practices aligned with our organisation's values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with executive managers to maintain and update job descriptions.
* Identify training and development needs through consultation with staff and managers via the performance review process.
* Provide guidance, support and arrange learning programs that foster professional growth, cultural competency and clinical excellence.
* Coordinate external training providers and manage training logistics and budgets effectively.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive training calendar and learning management system in conjunction with our human resources information system.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, suggesting improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
* Support career development pathways, including mentoring, coaching and succession planning.
* Promote continuous learning and a positive learning culture across the organisation.
* Ensure all learning initiatives reflect cultural safety and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Consult with the Cultural Competency Group to ensure culturally appropriate training delivery.
* Contribute to HR projects focused on improving learning and development practices.
* Maintain accurate employee records and learning and development documentation using our human resources information system and other relevant tools.
