Position summary
This is a newly created position designed to support significant business growth across multiple categories and retail channels. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will manage a portfolio of high-value retail accounts while actively pursuing new opportunities across the ANZ region.
You will work closely with our internal Sourcing, Design, Marketing, Customer Service and Logistics teams to deliver outstanding service, world-class submissions, and commercially successful category outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
* Manage and nurture key customer relationships across major retailers including Bunnings, Mitre 10, Beaumont Tiles, Woolworths and other strategic partners.
* Deliver exceptional service levels with regular communication, business reviews and retail support.
* Identify new ranging opportunities, drive incremental sales, and support long-term business expansion.
* Prepare and present retailer submissions, category reviews and promotional plans.
Sales Support & Business Development
* Support new business acquisition across hardware, home improvement, grocery and specialty retail channels.
* Monitor sales performance, forecast demand and analyse trends to identify growth opportunities.
* Review competitor activity and contribute insights to shape category and brand strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with our Sourcing and Product Development teams on new product concepts and cost modelling.
* Partner with Marketing and Design to deliver high-quality presentations, imagery and retail assets.
* Liaise with Logistics and Customer Service to support stock flow, availability, and retailer requirements.
* Communicate effectively with our field operations team to support in-store execution.
Operational Excellence
* Maintain accurate reporting, portals, data input and compliance across all accounts.
* Support promotions, seasonal activity, off-location displays and in-store initiatives.
* Prepare internal updates, performance reports and planning documents.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in managing national retail accounts within Australia (preferred experience with Bunnings, Mitre 10, Woolworths, BIG W, Officeworks, Spotlight, Anaconda or similar).
* Commercially minded with strong financial and analytical skills.
* A confident communicator with proven ability to influence and build strong relationships.
* Highly organised with excellent planning, time management and presentation skills.
* Resilient, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
* Experience in hardware, home improvement, FMCG, bathroomware, or consumer goods will be highly regarded.
Skills & Qualifications
* 3–5 years' experience in Key Account Management or National Account Management.
* Proven success working with large retailers in Australia or New Zealand.
* Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and reporting tools.
* Exposure to product development, sourcing or category management (advantageous).
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing or similar (preferred but not essential).
