Rosevale Properties is a progressive broadacre farming business with deep roots in the southern Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. Our team takes pride in running an efficient, productive, and forward-thinking operation - but above all, we value the people who help make it all happen. We're looking for someone with the right mix of skills, experience, and attitude to join our team in a role that offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to grow with us.
The Role
This is a hands-on position covering the full scope of broadacre cropping operations. You'll be involved in seeding, harvest, and everything in between - with a particular focus on operating and maintaining machinery, including our boomspray, general repairs and maintenance and all the in-between tasks involved with maximising the potential of our growing season. Being confident with the technology used in farming machines is a vital skill. From precision farming to day-to-day problem solving, you'll play an important role in keeping our operation running smoothly.
What will you bring?
We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a practical approach to farming. You'll be confident working with numbers (whether it's chemical mixes, machinery calibrations, or farm data) and adaptable enough to apply your skills across different areas of the business.
Essential Qualities:
* Proven farming background or transferrable trade skills suited to broadacre farming
* Strong work ethic and reliable approach to tasks
* Experience operating a boomspray, with familiarity of the technology and systems these machines use
* Good with numbers and confident with farm-related calculations
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team
* Willingness to obtain (or already hold) an MC Licence
* Commitment to a long-term career with a progressive farming business
Experience we value:
* Broadacre farming experience or similar
* Machinery operation and maintenance across modern farm equipment
* A problem-solving, proactive mindset
* Flexibility and adaptability across different tasks and seasons
What's in it for you?
This isn't just another farm job - it's a chance to join an established, professional business where your skills will be valued and developed. For the right candidate, we're offering:
* Competitive remuneration package - reflecting your skills and experience
* Job security - we're committed to long-term employment for the right person
* Skill development - Access to training for ongoing skill development across all aspects of broadacre farming
* Supportive team culture -you'll be part of a business that values contribution and initiative
* Flexibility of hours - because we know farming doesn't always stick to a 9 - 5 schedule
* Beautiful location with a welcoming local community – in a tourist destination with access to a coastal lifestyle, not too far from a capital city.
* Future accommodation option – while on-farm housing isn't immediately available, it is a possibility within the next 12 months
Timing
A pre-harvest start is preferred, so you can hit the ground running during one of the most important times of our year.
