This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting with fault finding for breakdowns and maintaining stock of various materials.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with fault finding for breakdowns to ensure prompt resolution and minimize downtime.
* Maintain stock levels of hydraulic, mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic materials to support production needs.
* Assemble metal parts and subassemblies for production machines and equipment according to established procedures.
* Complete regular mechanical checklists and inspections of plant and machinery to guarantee optimal performance.
* Conduct marking and lining out tasks as required by project specifications.
* Perform pre-start checks on plant, tools, and equipment to ensure safe operation.
* Safely store and maintain tools and equipment to prevent damage or loss.
* Adhere to quality control systems and techniques to guarantee high-quality workmanship.
* Perform general housekeeping and other duties as required to support team efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Be currently enrolled in your Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship program.
* Possess a valid Driver's Licence.
* Hold a Construction White Card.
* Obtain a Working Safely at Heights Certificate.
* Achieve HRWL- EWP over 11m certification.
