About SDN SDN Children’s Services is a village of professionals, families and children all working together to make a difference to children’s lives. Our therapists and educators support children with autism and developmental delay to overcome challenges that can make everyday life and participation more difficult. We help build skills and create positive outcomes for children and families. About the Role This is a centre-based role within our Children’s Therapies team, providing therapy for children and young people aged 0–16 years with autism and developmental delays. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide therapy onsite at our autism-specific preschool. You will have the opportunity to deliver therapy within the natural routines of the day, working alongside educators and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, as well as in our dedicated therapy rooms. In this role, you will support children and their families by delivering occupational therapy and building family capacity to support their child’s development. About SDN Beranga SDN Beranga is an autism-specific preschool that combines early education and early intervention, designed to meet the individual needs of children. The service includes two therapy rooms, allowing you to work directly with families to build their confidence, capability and capacity to support their child. Everyday Benefits Work in a transdisciplinary environment, continuing to build your skills alongside a diverse group of professionals Receive support, training and coaching from an experienced manager, plus regular external supervision Access a tailored individual career development plan, whether your goal is leadership or developing expertise in specialised areas Opportunity to work closely with parents and educators in an autism-specific early learning service Incentive-based professional development rewards with a recognised provider of your choice Competitive salary plus not-for-profit salary packaging Paid parental leave Discounted childcare What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have: University qualifications in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration Demonstrated experience working effectively with children with disabilities or developmental delays (ideally 5 years), using a transdisciplinary model and strengths-based, family-centred, play-based approaches to paediatric intervention Demonstrated ability and/or understanding of coaching, facilitating and bridging approaches to build the capacity of culturally diverse families and other important adults in children’s lives An understanding of the NDIS, with strong time management skills and the ability to meet targets (5 billable hours per day) Why Join SDN?
