An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced wills and estates lawyer at an Associate level or aspiring Associate to join our Wills & Estates team.
Responsibilities
Working closely with our experienced team, you will play an integral role in delivering high quality tailored legal solutions on a range of matters to the firm's established Wills & Estates' client base. This role is not only varied but will offer you a challenging selection of work with your specific responsibilities including:
- Manage your own Wills & Estates files;
- Prepare Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and other succession planning documents for interests in trusts and companies etc.;
- Prepare Probate documents and other documents required in Estate Administration matters.
- Prepare Affidavits and other Court documents required in Estate Litigation matters;
- Provide written and verbal legal advice to clients;
- Assist on complex Wills & Estates files; and
- Meet and liaise with clients.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- To be successful in this role you will have:
- Post admission legal experience in estates administration / succession / estate planning / estate litigation in a highly focused client service environment.
- A current Queensland Law Society practising certificate.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and consultation skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to administer several tasks concurrently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency with excellent organisation skills and a proven ability to deal with competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a friendly, professional team and to achieve client time frames.
- Capacity to be self-managed and be self-motivated.
