Senior Sourcing Manager (Fresh Produce) – Fixed Term Contract – Melbourne or Sydney
Salary range: $120,000 to $130,000 + super (A$120,******/yr – A$130,******/yr). 9-month fixed-term maternity cover.
Location: Sydney or Melbourne, with very flexible working opportunities.
Our client is an iconic online food services business, and we are searching for a Senior Sourcing Manager – Fresh Produce on a fixed-term basis (maternity cover).
With a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions, this role oversees the management and development of food categories, ensuring seamless integration into an agile manufacturing model.
The Senior Sourcing Manager ensures that products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and timeliness, with an eye on market dynamics and emerging opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include
Formulating a 1-3 year category plan, aligned to the overall sourcing strategy and framework.
Leading the development and execution of the category plan in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Conducting market analysis to drive category strategies and risk assessments.
Identifying alternative suppliers, negotiating contracts, and cultivating supplier relationships.
Managing and executing competitive tendering processes.
Developing, implementing and managing supplier performance metrics, documentation, and reporting.
Conducting supplier negotiations and regular quality meetings/reviews.
About the person
5+ years' relevant experience, ideally with procurement of fresh produce within the manufacturing, retail or FMCG sector; open to diverse backgrounds.
Strong commercial analysis, analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills with sound knowledge of commercial and contract law.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
