Visual Arts Teacher
An enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic teacher with a strong content knowledge of the current Visual Arts Syllabus and high work ethic is sought. The successful applicant will have experience in Stage 6, elective and mandatory Stage 4 courses. The candidate will demonstrate confidence in integrating diverse pedagogical approaches, media, technologies, and contemporary artistic practices. Strong technical skills in drawing and painting, with the ability to teach a wide range of 2D and 3D art forms across all stages is also required.
The successful applicant will join a collegial and collaborative team in a well-resourced department. They will be committed to ongoing professional learning and demonstrate a growth mind set. An ability and experience in providing clear, constructive feedback to support student growth in artmaking, art criticism, and art history, while fostering creative thinking is critical to this role.
All applicants for the above position must be supportive of the Catholic ethos and tradition of the College and be prepared to participate in the co-curricular area. The College operates a Boarding and Extended day program for all students.
