Global Vision Recruitment on Behalf of VEC Holdings Pty Ltd T/A Mark's At Oatley Position: Chef Salary: $76,500 - $80,500 plus 12% superannuation Hours: 38 Mode: Full-time Location: 1/47-67 Mulga Rd, Oatley NSW 2223 Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a commercial kitchen Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Train, hire and develop kitchen staff
* Ensure food are prepared in a consistent manner and meet quality standards.
* Oversee the ordering and controlling of kitchen stocks
* Develop, design and create new menus periodically
* Implement compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
* Check prepared food as per recipe guide, menu and company standards
* Ensure sufficient staffing by preparing weekly rosters in consultation with Head Chef and restaurant requirement
* Manage food cost and production for regular and special events
* Demonstrate new recipe for kitchen staffs
* Produce food as per menus during rush hours
Qualifications:
* Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery (Preferred but not mandatory).
* Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management (Preferred but not mandatory).
Other Skills & Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experience working as a Chef in a busy, high-standard kitchen
* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
* Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food handling, and hygiene best practices
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* Creativity and passion for delivering memorable food experiences
