Net Zero Economy Authority - Policy & Program Advisors – Various Roles
Be among the first 25 applicants
The Net Zero Economy Act 2024 established the Net Zero Economy Authority (the Authority) as a statutory agency in December 2024.
The authority is currently establishing itself as a separate entity, including off-boarding from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C). It is expected to transition shortly to being a separate entity from PM&C, at which point, all employees will transfer under Machinery of Government (MoG) changes to the authority.
Our vision is to deliver a better future for industrial regions, communities, and workers in a net zero economy.
To achieve this, we have three core missions:
1. Help workers in coal and gas facilities affected by the transition to prepare for, and find, new well-paid, safe, and secure jobs.
2. Support communities significantly impacted by the transition to net zero to prosper, including through economic development and investment.
3. Be a trusted and influential voice to build understanding of, and shape policy on, the net zero economic transition, particularly in the regions.
This process will be used to fill multiple vacancies across various teams within the authority. For detailed information on the teams and roles, please refer to the downloadable candidate information pack.
