Senior Technical Writer (Dynamics 365 & Power Apps) - Australian Citizen with Baseline clearance (or ability to obtain)Canberra or any major city in AustraliaThis role is critical for bridging the gap between technical teams, business stakeholders, and end-users by producing high-quality documentation and supporting the development of digital services built on .NET, Power Apps, and Dynamics 365. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical acumen, and exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation and actionable insights.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a Technical Writer, you will:Configure and maintain Dynamics 365 and Power Apps solutions, including workflows and business rules.Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to understand system functionalities, integrations, and enhancements.Analyse business requirements and document functional and technical specifications.Participate in solution design discussions and provide insights into documentation needs.Liaise with business users, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment between documentation and user needs.Act as a conduit for translating technical jargon into business-friendly language.Participate in defect triaging by analysing and prioritising issues raised during testing or in production.Investigate, document, and track defects to resolution, ensuring alignment with business requirements.Collaborate with developers and testers to verify defect fixes.Support release readiness by validating defect resolution.Provide feedback on technical designs and proposed solutions for clarity and consistency.Skills and ExperienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible language.Experience using modelling and visual design languages such as BPMN, UML, SysML, SDL, flow charts, etc.Experience in agile software delivery, including the production of agile artefacts, user stories, and participation in ceremonies.Experience producing system, security, and business documentation.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and enterprise applications built on the platform.Experience with agile project and team management platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, etc.Relevant ICT qualifications or industry certifications.Knowledge of the Microsoft cloud ecosystem such as Azure, Dataverse, Office 365, Power Platform, etc.Knowledge of the delivery of government grants and financial management processes is desirable.Required AttributesA self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.A collaborative team player who can work across different business functions.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering high-quality documentation under tight deadlines.Australian Citizen with Baseline clearance or the ability to obtain one.
