Job Title:
A permanent, full-time opportunity exists for a Chief Engineering and Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
The role involves strategic management of the Projects & Engineering department, including people management and financial management.
* Provide leadership, support, and direction to the department through staff development, work planning, performance management, change management, and recruitment.
* Manage engineering aspects of developments and subdivisions.
* Oversee project delivery, contracts, and capital works for the council.
* Administer civil design and survey functions.
* Develop strategies, policies, systems, and processes for effective implementation.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree-level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Previous supervisory experience at a team leader or management level.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service outcomes through stakeholder engagement and influence.
* Analytical skills with quality judgement to make sound decisions.
* A valid Class C driver's licence.
