The Role
As an APS 6 Senior Industry Intelligence Researcher/Analyst you will deliver complex and specialist research and analysis that supports Defence policy, planning and capability decisions.
You will work with a high degree of autonomy, providing accurate advice and mentoring junior analysts, while contributing to the continuous uplift of the Industry Intelligence Capability (IIC).
You will:
* Undertake complex research and analysis to produce high-quality intelligence products across the Industry Intelligence Capability (IIC) priority areas.
* Provide advice to stakeholders on industry capability, capacity, and supply chains.
* Lead or coordinate the delivery of intelligence products, ensuring quality, accuracy and timeliness.
* Translate complex data and analysis into clear, decision ready insights for senior audiences.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with Defence stakeholders and partners.
* Support the development of junior staff through mentoring, guidance, and quality assurance.
* Contribute to the improvement of analytical methods, products, systems, and governance.

You will have:
* Demonstrated experience delivering high quality analysis and advice on complex issues.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including briefing senior stakeholders, as well as the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* The ability to exercise sound judgement and manage ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
* Experience working collaboratively across teams and stakeholder groups.
* The capability to mentor others and contribute to building team capability.
* Demonstrated experience generating research-driven reports.
* Experience using open-sourced information and data to undertake analysis and produce intelligence products.
* Experience using data aggregation and analysis platforms.
