About the opportunity

Based in Miles, QLD and working a 2:1 DIDO roster, Altrad seeks an experienced E&I Supervisor to join our Gas Infrastructure construction project. This role plays a key part in delivering and maintaining high standards of work to facilitate successful project execution.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will oversee day‐to‐day site operations, manage plant, labour and subcontractors, and ensure all work meets project specifications, Australian standards and HSEQ requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead from the front on major projects, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and QAQC teams to drive construction progress, maintain compliance and achieve project delivery from start to finish.

In this role, you will:

* Manage project construction activities in accordance with drawings, specifications and project schedules.
* Supervise onsite plant, equipment and labour to ensure efficient and safe execution of works.
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual and company requirements.
* Maintain accurate site records, including daily construction reports, variations and progress tracking.
* Work closely with Engineers and QAQC teams to ensure quality documentation, compliance and change management processes are implemented.
* Oversee site safety systems, permits, lifting operations and risk management activities in line with HSEQ requirements.
* Ensure timely material procurement, delivery coordination and site logistics management.
* Lead site planning, resource allocation and stakeholder coordination to achieve project objectives.
* Promote a strong safety‐first culture and ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

About you

* Proactive and hands‐on leader with strong technical expertise in electrical and instrumentation construction, proven ability to manage site teams to deliver safe, compliant and high‐quality outcomes.
* Trade qualified Hazardous Area Electrician; Cert IV in Instrumentation (preferred).
* Demonstrated experience supervising site teams, subcontractors and construction activities within oil & gas or heavy industry projects.
* Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation, including P&IDs, isometrics, layouts, ITPs and ITRs.
* Proven experience working closely with Project Engineers and QAQC teams to ensure compliance, quality outcomes and successful project delivery.
* Solid understanding of HSEQ requirements, site permits, risk management and safety systems within construction environments.
* Strong organisational, planning and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Effective communicator with well‐developed leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Excel and standard project/document management tools.
