The Role
The VET System Policy Strategy and Budget Department is seeking multiple Assistant Directors to support a range of Vocational Education and Training (VET) system policy and program initiatives including policy projects, qualification reform, stakeholder engagement, and program management.
The teams seeking Assistant Directors have available positions:
* The Tertiary Policy team is looking for an Assistant Director who has experience in policy development to support the development and delivery of the Government's tertiary education agenda.
* The VET System Policy team is seeking Assistant Director/s to support national skills and training strategic policy priorities.
* The VET Policy Pathways team is looking for an Assistant Director who has interest and experience in policy development and stakeholder engagement to support government decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Providing high-level strategic policy advice to the team Director and other Executives.
* Engaging with internal and external stakeholders and building productive relationships that bring broad perspectives to improve the development of policy advice.
* Leading and developing a small sub-team to develop excellent policy advice and proposals related to Australia's VET system.
