Role PurposeWe are seeking a Criminal Law Legal Practitioner (FIFO) at ATSILS.
This position can be based in any of our 24 Queensland offices.
Playing a vital role in delivering high-quality legal representation to clients with a strong commitment to social justice, you will provide essential legal services across various teams focusing on both adult and youth jurisdictions.
The ability to travel by road, air and, in rare cases, short sea trips will be essential.
It is estimated that 50% of work time will involve travel for extended periods, some of which are in remote locations.
About YouYou must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland and hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate.
You must hold (or be eligible for immediate application) a current Queensland Government Blue Card prior to commencing work.
You will demonstrate a high level of professional service in all aspects of Criminal Law covering both adult and youth jurisdictions.
A current Driver Licence and willingness to drive for work are essential.
Ideally you will have a minimum of five years full-time post-admission experience, resilience to handle complex cases and the ability to develop culturally sensitive service skills.
