Overview
You want to do work that makes a positive difference to local communities. You have been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.
Description
You will be part of a team delivering critical road infrastructure across NSW, helping keep roads safe and resilient by supporting construction, maintenance and renewal of road surfaces. You'll join our Roads and Maintenance crew and undertake a variety of hands‐on tasks, including pavement and drainage construction and maintenance, as well as working with roadside traffic signals and signage. The role provides opportunities to develop new skills such as obtaining traffic control tickets and gaining exposure to plant operations, building valuable experience within a supportive team environment. This is a hands‐on, outdoor role where you will play a direct part in delivering safer, smoother roads and long‐lasting infrastructure.
Location & Shift
The position is based in Heatherbrae and primarily works night shifts from Sunday to Thursday, 6:00 pm to 2:30 am on a 9‐day fortnight roster (with every second Thursday off). Applicants must reside within a 100 km radius of the Heatherbrae works depot.
About You
Your strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude—gained through work or life experience—will set you up for success. You are adaptable, safety‐focused, and ready to take on physically demanding work. You are a team player who shows initiative, works efficiently and safely, and is eager to learn on the job. Previous experience in roadwork or labouring is advantageous but not essential; we're looking for the right attitude and commitment.
