About the role
The Meter Reader position involves driving to the start of an allocated route and then moving on foot from location to location reading and logging water meter data into a hand‐held device for commercial and domestic properties across the Unity water contract area. The role is full‐time and requires a strong focus on safety, reliability and meeting tight deadlines.
Qualifications
* Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
* Physically fit to walk 10‐30 km daily in all weather conditions.
* Strong focus on safety, reliability and meeting deadlines.
* Comfortable entering residential premises, including those with animals.
* Detail‐oriented with excellent customer service skills.
* Willing to complete police check, medical and drug/alcohol screening.
* Available for 8‐25 hours per day (weekdays).
* Previous meter reading experience highly desirable.
* Reside within the Sunshine Coast Region (preferred).
