Structural Bridge Engineer Opportunity
We are currently searching for an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer in Training (E.I.) to support our Southeast Region located in Florida.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and at least 1 – 5 years of structural engineering experience. EIT (E.I) Certification is required.
The ideal candidate will assist a team of Engineers on a variety of projects such as structural design and engineering studies by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, design, plans production and delivery on assigned project(s).
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic structural engineering principles
* Projects may include design and repair of highway bridges and retaining walls, bridge load ratings, review of working drawings and cost estimating
* Assist in the preparation of project quantities and cost estimates
* Assist in the analysis of structures using various structural engineering software programs
* Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials, predominantly steel and concrete
* Prepare structural drawings in Open Bridge, MicroStation and AutoCAD
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
2. Emphasis in structural knowledge
3. 1 – 5 years of structural engineering experience
4. EIT (E.I) Certification is required
5. Experience with MicroStation
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
* Valid driver's license
* Satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
