About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled People & Culture Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience as an Advisor, preferably in a construction/mining/heavy industry environment.
* Experience in HR generalist support and advice, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, learning & development, diversity/inclusion and HR policies & procedures.
* A positive, can-do mindset and a willingness to learn with a proactive approach.
* Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage, partner, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* High level of knowledge and understanding of human resource concepts and practices and how these are applied in the workplace.
About the Job
This is a 12-month fixed term position providing coverage for our P&C Advisor who is going on parental leave. The role will see you reporting through to the Regional P&C Manager and partnering with business units to provide day-to-day HR generalist support and advice.
* Management and execution of HR processes related to the end-to-end employment lifecycle, including guiding the talent team on recruitment and selection, overseeing onboarding, employment changes, performance review processes and off boarding.
* Providing proactive coaching and specialist advise to people leaders and employees on employee relations matters including performance management and grievances.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Implementing HR and business initiatives as required.
* Partnering with business units to provide day-to-day HR generalist support and advice.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
* Experience working in a construction/mining/heavy industry environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A high level of knowledge and understanding of human resource concepts and practices.
