**The Role**
As a Financial Learning Manager you will responsible for a team of learning and development professionals delivering the Defence Finance Training Strategy in support of financial literacy across the Department.

Duties of the position include but are not limited to:

- Leading a team responsible for the analysis, design, development, conduct and evaluation of financial learning and development products and services.
- Engaging and influencing stakeholders to shape and implement financial learning and development strategy.
- Delivering financial learning training to Defence officials.

**About our Team**
The Director, Financial Learning reports to the Assistant Secretary Financial Compliance. The Financial Compliance Branch sits within the Budgets and Financial Services Division and supports the Department of Defence by providing a framework of financial policies and advice to support staff in exercising their financial responsibilities. There are a broad range of specialised financial activities undertaken within the Financial Compliance Branch including Financial policy, Financial compliance, Financial Learning, Travel Policy and Tax Management.

The Financial Learning Directorate plays a vital role in managing the Financial Learning and Development program to support exemplary financial practice across Defence. The team helps to inform and educate Defence personnel to make sound decisions around Defence financial management, through practical interpretation of financial policy and processes. The team is responsible for delivering generalist and specialist financial learning solutions in a variety of formats including video, eLearning and face-to-face training.

As an EL1 Financial Learning Manager, you will operate under broad direction to develop and deliver financial learning for the Defence organisation. You are an experienced Learning and Development professional and a dynamic individual who loves to share knowledge and develop those around you.
- Current experience analysing, developing and delivering adult learning.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement across various cohorts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
