CASA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation
An opportunity exists for a highly experienced Quality & Safety Manager to join our executive leadership team within a CASA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation.
Reporting directly to the Accountable Manager / CEO, this is a senior management role with delegated authority for the governance, performance and continuous improvement of the organisation's Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS).
This position is a CASA Part 145 Form 4 nominated role and is critical to maintaining regulatory approval, organisational resilience and long‐term safety performance.
The Role
As Quality & Safety Manager, you will provide strategic oversight and professional leadership across aviation compliance, quality assurance, and safety risk management. You will act as the primary regulatory interface with CASA and deliver independent assurance to the Accountable Manager on compliance, safety, and systemic performance.
Key Accountabilities
* Ownership, control and ongoing development of the Skytek's Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
* Assurance of compliance with CASR Part 145, Part 42 and associated CASA instruments
* Leadership of a risk‐based internal audit and CAPA framework
* Oversight of safety reporting, investigations and regulatory notifications
* Executive engagement with CASA audits, surveillance and findings
* Promotion of a mature, professional safety and quality culture across all maintenance activities
You will be empowered to raise findings, require corrective action and, where necessary, suspend maintenance activity to protect safety and regulatory integrity.
Your Background
You are a senior aviation quality professional with credibility at executive and regulator level, supported by:
* Proven QMS/SMS leadership within a CASA Part 145 AMO
* Experience as a CASA Form 4 holder or equivalent senior quality/safety manager
* Lead Auditor qualification (aviation or ISO 9001-based)
* Strong command of CASA oversight, audit and surveillance processes
* Strong capability and confidence in liaising effectively with CASA and other regulatory authorities, including during audits, investigations, and formal regulatory interactions
