The role of a registered nurse at Sarina Hospital is to provide high-quality care to a diverse range of patient groups, including rehabilitation, palliative, and detox patients. This is an ideal opportunity for a rural and remote nurse who enjoys variety in practice and team-based care in a close-knit community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality care to inpatients and outpatients across a diverse range of units and departments
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and advancements in the field
* Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree-qualified registered nurse with current registration with AHPRA
* Experience in rural nursing and emergency care
* Triage experience and valid ALS, Resus, and Triage certification
* Current BLS, ETEK, manual handling, infection control, aggression management, and mandatory reporting competencies
* Familiarity with medication management and Queensland Poisons Regulations (QPHS)
