About the Role
We're hiring Security Consultants to help our customers and partners develop technical expertise and capacity, manage key customer relationships, deliver security advice and architecture guidance, lead proof‐of‐concept projects, and deliver customer engagements. AWS consultants collaborate with customers to address security risk, achieve security outcomes, and implement and migrate customer solutions and workloads onto the cloud. The role specializes in information/cyber security management and regulatory compliance using AWS cloud services in large‐scale computing environments.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with a broad range of AWS teams (field sales, pre‐sales, training, support) to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, IAM, and related security, identity & compliance services.
* Provide advice and support the delivery of technical engagements, including pre‐sales on‐site visits, understanding customer security and compliance requirements, and proposing and delivering packaged offerings and custom solution engagements.
* Manage short on‐site projects proving the use of AWS services for new distributed computing solutions that span private and public clouds, including migration of existing applications and development of new applications while ensuring security is managed appropriately.
* Contribute and lead engagements and initiatives that grow the Professional Services Security business.
* Convey partner and customer feedback to AWS engineering, support and business teams as input to AWS technology roadmaps.
* Participate in knowledge transfer and mentoring to contribute to the management of the practice.
* Provide assurance services to understand and manage the quality of security and delivery outcomes, including solution review.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience.
* 10+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience.
* 5+ years of cloud‐based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience.
* 7+ years of external or internal customer‐facing, complex and large‐scale project management experience.
* Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* CISSP, CISA, CISM or other security certification.
