About the role
An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will become a trusted partner of the leadership team within our Gas & Renewables division, providing financial oversight and strategic support across this broad portfolio & supporting decision-making through analysis of financial performance, and risk management.
Key Accountabilities
* Directly support the Gas & Renewables Management Team in achieving financial targets.
* Complete forecasting and trend analysis, evaluating expected gross margin and operating expenditure.
* Monitor actual costs compared to budget and lead efforts to adjust costs as needed.
* Guide, mentor and coach the team to reach individual and company objectives and targets.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with the ability to predict future income and expenditure.
* Provide monthly and quarterly P&L for each month, including budget vs. actual reports that include positive/corrective action recommendations.
About you
Your demonstrated robust previous experience as a Senior Finance Business Partner / Manager, looking after teams delivering a complex finance function within a large organsiation in a similar industry will be the key to your success in this role.
In addition to the above, you will demonstrate:
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting as well as CA / CPA qualifications are advantageous.
* Advanced knowledge of the Finance module of an ERP (SAP preferred).
* Experience of month-end close and finance planning process.
* Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
* An ability to manage complex projects and present data/concepts in a clear manner.
* Well-developed communication skills with the ability to interact & influence stakeholders, including Senior Management / Executives.
