About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the finance team, with a focus on budgeting and financial procedures. This will include assisting with the implementation of new systems and processes, as well as providing advice to managers and staff on a range of financial issues.
* Assist with the development and implementation of financial procedures and reporting modules.
* Provide expert advice to managers and staff on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, purchasing and credit card management.
* Develop and implement new methods and standards in accordance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
* Collaborate with external organizations, such as the Australian Tax Office (ATO), to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Public Sector financial administration legislation and associated departmental policies.
* Proven ability to effectively manage work priorities and achieve determined outcomes within negotiated timeframes.
* Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member, establishing work priorities and meeting determined deadlines and commitments.
