About the role
This is an Aboriginal Identified position authorised under S14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW) and/or S33B of the Discrimination Act 1991(ACT)
This is a temporary full-time role up to 30 June 2026 with a possibility of extension due to funding. The role will be located at either Goulburn or Queanbeyan. The Aboriginal Outreach Worker will work as part of the Aboriginal Health Team to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The primary responsibility is to support the delivery of health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities through health screening, integrated care and chronic disease management and health promotion.

Skills & Experience
* Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be an active member within the local Aboriginal communities
* Certificate III or IV in Aboriginal Health Work or other health related discipline or willingness to work towards
* Demonstrated understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people and their health
* Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and communicate sensitively, with Aboriginal people to address their health needs
* Experience in developing and maintaining effective partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and communities
