This position plays a crucial role in supporting the payroll manager, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for our employees.
1. Key Responsibilities:
2. - Assist with end-to-end payroll processes for approximately 800 permanent employees and 200 casual employees in Australia
3. - Provide backup support during Payroll Manager absences, both planned and unforeseen
4. - Collaborate on payroll-related general ledger activities, financial reporting, and month-end processes
5. - Utilize expertise in Novated leases and monthly reconciliations
6. - Contribute to payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations
7. - Implement salary sacrifice arrangements
8. - Prepare and lodge statutory returns and ABS requirements
9. - Develop best practices and standardize process and procedures
10. - Interact with the business on payroll matters
11. - Perform other duties as required by your manager or leadership

Requirements:
* Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* - Extensive knowledge of Sage MicroPay
* - Previous experience in a similar Australian payroll position, preferably in a professional services environment
* - Current knowledge of legislation relating to payroll e.g. Single Touch Payroll
* - Accuracy and attention to detail
* - Good communication skills
