Occupational Therapist Role
Mind Australia is seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist for a permanent, full-time opportunity supporting mental health services in the Dandenong area.
The successful applicant will deliver high-quality assessments, interventions, consultation, and specialist services to older people experiencing complex mental health challenges.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive therapeutic support services to older people including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, treatment planning, and evaluation.
* Build capacity and provide training to families, carers, and supporters, support local teams, and other clinical teams.
* Deliver mental health interventions and allied health therapy assessments that can be adapted to meet individual needs.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to promote access to primary mental health care services.
* Build relationships with external stakeholders, including opinion leaders, community groups, and service providers.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
* Able to obtain registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent accreditation.
* Previous experience in similar Allied Health clinical roles specialising in working with older adults.
* Proven skills in assessment, planning, and delivery within a recovery-oriented practice framework.
* Understanding of NDIS, Community Services sector, Private Health, and ability to build strong relationships.
